Lush Recording Studio is the Toronto rap studio for artists who cut their own records, their own way. We're not a band-tracking room. We're a vocal booth tuned for the rap take — the Sony C800G on the mic stand, the Neve 1073SPX on the preamp, and engineers who know the difference between a trap flow and a drill pocket. Walk in with reference tracks, walk out with a mixed hook and the full multicam session to cut your own clips for the rollout.

Every rap session at Lush is run by our senior engineer team — hip-hop and R&B lived in, punch-in workflow as a default, and the editing pass already in muscle memory. We route your session to the engineer best fit for the record based on genre, subgenre, and block length.

Do you have a punch-in loop for rap sessions?
Yes. Our engineers run punch-in loops as a default for rap tracking — drop in, bar by bar, no rebuilding takes from the top. The team runs fast punch-in workflows in Pro Tools and Logic, so your flow stays in the pocket while the session moves.
Can I book a single track or do I need a full session?
Both. The minimum booking is a 2-hour block at $75/hr, which is plenty for one track plus rough comps. If you're cutting a mixtape or EP, the 6-hour daytime block at $400 (10AM–4PM) is the move.
What mic do you use for rap vocals?
The Sony C800G — the same microphone behind the records you've been playing for years. It runs through a Neve 1073SPX preamp into a Tube-Tech CL1B compressor and a UAD Apollo x8 interface. It's the chain rap engineers build their rooms around.
